We have had a big year since we’ve seen you. So much has
happened and God has blessed us. We have had many new and exciting things
happen in our “coach” family.
Mrs. Ward will be back! WOW, it would take a book to tell
you about her. I will just say “God is the Great Physician.” He has seen fit to
give her back to us and she is regaining her health. She was an amazing
testimony of faith to all of us during this hard time in her life. We love her
so much and thank God that with her presence, things are running smoothly
again.
Tawnie & Zak are doing awesome as new parents. Landyn
is doing so well, growing tall & making his grandparents some of the
happiest people in the world. He will be 1 year old February 15th. We are
praying Tawnie will get knee surgery this year. (Most of you probably remember
her injury at volleyball camp.) Pray it works out for her. We need her back at
100%.
Stephanie & Joe had Alexis Bryn (Lexi) on December 1,
2009. She’s beautiful and such a joy to each of us. She will be at volleyball
camp, I’m sure. Steph is doing great and I’m sure she is looking forward to
running that mile with all of you.
Carrie & Dan are doing well. No, no baby on the way yet.
(Carrie has one baby already in Dan. JT) They are both serving the Lord in so
many capacities. Also, Carrie is busy spoiling her great cousin Landyn and her
niece Lexi. They love her like crazy.
Tianna Osborne & BJ Volkert were married on July 10,
2009. Tianna was a beautiful bride and BJ is a lucky man. They are doing well.
Also, they are now expecting an “addition” to their family. She’s due June 17th,
one week before volleyball camp. (Tianna will do anything to get out of
fatiguing.)
Josie remains faithful as ever, consistent on her bus
route. She is working hard to finish her college courses and teaching many
classes in the Academy. She has such a servant’s heart. God uses her greatly in
our ministry.
Jaylene is working hard at her job and on the farm. She
also serves the Lord on her bus route and helps to teach at Calvary Academy. We
thank God for her.
Joy Thompson was married on September 25, 2009 to Derrick
Hoffer. It was a beautiful wedding. Joy looked stunning. What a blessing she is
to us. They live in Latrobe, PA and go to Bible Baptist of Latrobe. God is
using her there but we sure do miss her. (She will be at volleyball camp.) Her
husband is wonderful and shares her with us often.
Emma has taken her 5th national title for
volleyball (3 in high school & 2 in college). She has great grades and is
given many responsibilities for an underclassman. We miss her so much when she
is gone.
Candace will be our new addition to our coaching staff. She
captained the Calvary Academy Minutemen Volleyball team to another winning
season. She was the only senior with the next oldest classman being in 9th
grade. She led by example! We will miss her greatly on the team but are
definitely looking forward to using her skills as a coach.
I am doing well. I am now experiencing “empty nest
syndrome” but as God always says, “His grace is sufficient.” My husband and I
are enjoying being grandparents. It’s priceless! Our “sons” are very sweet and
they bring their wives over to our house often. (I make sure I keep pop &
food in the house that they like.J) I am endeavoring to
get into better shape for our 3rd annual volleyball camp. Fatiguing
– here we come!
We are praying Calvary Academy Volleyball Camp is for you
as an individual or as a team. Please enroll as soon as possible so we have a
good idea as to how many young ladies & coaches God is going to bless us
with.
We have heard many great things about you and your teams
this last season. It truly blessed our hearts!
